Recently I bought few things on amazon. I want to share with you my opinion about things I have bought.
I really don’t like situation when scrapping cold butter takes you more than than making all sandwich in the morning. So I bought a butter keeper. Butter keeper is small not complicated thing made from porcelain.Often they looks like a normal jar. Butter keepers are rather cheap usually $5-$10. It’s really simple, you fill it with waterr, waterr doesn’t allow air to contact with butter and make it steal. Water needs changing every three days. History of butter keepers is very long, decades ago people used to keep butter in waterr to keep it fresh for a longer time. This method was created to keep butter fresh for a week but not longer. Now butter keeper allow you to keep butter fresh for a month.
One of the best things I have ever bought. It resist heat up to 500 degrees F. So you can lift or grab any hot pot. It’s better than classic oven mitt when it comes to washing it. You can put it in a dishwasher so it takes minutes to clean it. And what happens when you spill boiling hot waterr on your hand ?Water won’t soak in silicone mitt as it would normally. It will save you from hot oil if you are a fan of Chinese food. It’s very hygienic because it’s made from silicone.There is only one disadvantage, it’s not very handy but I have already seen three fingered mitts so this problem is already solved I think.
I highly recommend you silicone oven mitts and norpro butter keeper because for me it works great.
